If anyone is researching their ancestors in Villa Latina I have now subscribed to a website where I can look at photos of over 500 gravestone photos and download them. If you have any names you would like me to look up for you please contact me.

Hello Jamie

Unfortunately no Leonardo or Leonarda there. There are four Capaldi's - Antoniamaria, Concetta, Giacinta and Bambina (what a lovely name!).

There are loads of Pacitti's, Franchi's, Panetta's and Valente's if those are in your family tree.

When you give out your login details to others, the website can tell if you are logging in from different places and will block your subscription. It's their way of protecting their subscriptions.

You're welcome.
I imagine you have already realized that there are few tombstones after the middle of 1800's if any. You might want to give a date range or you could be looking for tombs that don't exist anymore.
See my article on cemeteries on my website.

Ann

I read your article and can hardly believe what goes on regarding moving remains from place to place. I had always thought that Italians would revere their ancestors - I didn't realise that it all comes down to money (or lack of).

This information is invaluable for anyone going to Italy to research their family.

Hello,

I was wondering if you have any records on Gaetano Panetta and his wife Laterina Franchi they had a son Giacinto Panetta (B.Aug 18 1864) who later moved to the US but I believe that they died in Villa Latina. And then a Raffaelo Visocchi and his wife Lisabetta Fortuna who had a daughter Angeline (B. Dec 18 1871). Sorry I dont have any more info on them just names that I got off their children's visas. But any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Melissa

Sorry correction to my above post. Gaetano's wife's name is Caterina Franchi not Laterina.

Thank You
