Effiisia Quillico

Post by mjc »

My grandmother, Effisia Quillico was born to Rose Castelazzo and Valerio Walter Quillico on 02/22/1903 in Cuceglio, Piemonte, Italy. Can anyone check to see if her parents marriage is registered, and thus, her grandparent's names. Any other info will be much appreciated. I cannot find her listing for arriving in the US. Her future husband, Carlo Costa Zana arrived in 1920, and then as a family they returned to Italy in 1937. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi !
The parents of Cristina Effisia in the birth record posted by Paolo47 were indeed Rosa Castellazzo and Valerio Quillico
There is the record of the marriage of Rosa Margarita Castellazzo, to one Lerino Quillico in 1893
She was the daughter of Lorenzo Castellazzo and Cristina Scarampo of Montechiaro and he was the son of Battista Quillico and Lucia Bussolino of Montiglio

Here are the links to the marriage index of Montechiaro d’Asti

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... 1347864594
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... 1347864594

Here the pubblicazioni (Marriage Banns) in 1892
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... 1570603954

It is possible that Rosa and Efisia had made a previous trip to America in 1903, when Efisia was a baby
The ship manifest says they are fom Montechiaro Asti and are going to join husband/father Lerino Quilico
On the same ship travelled your other ancestor, Efisia Quillico, wife of Bartolomeo Forno, sister of Lerino

This Efisia was born in Montiglio May 14 1874
And her brother Valerio aka Lerino married Rosa Castellazzo and had a daughter called Cristina Efisia, born in Montechiaro d'Asti February 1903
 :? ?

Hello, My Name is Lisa, I am the great granddaughter of Robert Quillico the only boy born the Valerio and Rose Quillico. He is part of the family that moved from PA to Detroit. I'm letting you know Christina Effisia and Effisia are one in the same, Grandpa called her Aunt Effie. My grandfather is John William Quillico, him and Grandma Ruth spoke of the family in California. If you want any certain info let me know I do have the ships manifest/ and boat the came in on, Valerio was first and Rose did come with her brother and children a couple years later. Guiseppina is Aunt Josephine who's married name is Rico, they came to Detroit also, and part of the family here still in Michigan. Thanks, Lisa
