Need Help! Eugenio Malandra Birth Certificate

Name:Eugenio Malandra

Trying to find GGF birth place. I am really confused on where he could have been born. I paid a company to search a couple locations I thought but no records found. I had this company search Casalinecontrada and Buchianicio.

I pulled up the ship manifest:

Last Place of Residence: Casaldin C
His WWII draft card shows birth place: Casale Chiedi
Born around 1884-1886

Any help confirming where he was born would be great. I have spent hundreds of dollars with no luck. Thanks

I looked at several records on FamilySearch.org, and I think it's quite likely that he was from Casalincontrada, province of Chieti, Abruzzo region.

you should also have his birth date.
Unfortunately, civil records for Casalincontrada are not online at FamilySearch, but they are available on microfilm.

That is him that you found. I have conflicting birthdates. One document say 1884 another 1881. I can see how someone wrote the wrong # but not sure which one is correct.

Which microfilm should I order? How do you view microfilm? Does it show online once ordered?

You should check where the Family History Center nearest to you (Genealogical Center of the Mormon Church) is.
Then, you can order these microfilms:

Nati, matrimoni, morti, notificazioni, cittadinanze 1871-1883 1416212
Nati, matrimoni, morti, notificazioni, cittadinanze 1884-1893 1416213

You will have to pay online and choose the FHC where you want to view them; you will receive updates of your order by email (or you can check it online); When microfilms are at the FHC (this usually happens from 1 to 3 months after the order) they usually call you and tell you when it is possible to go there.
