Hello new and past friends!

I have been long searching for birth/parentage of Domenico Antonio PalladEno, believed born abt. 1854 Serre, Salerno (thus not far from Naples area).

While it seems you are looking for current persons of that name, is it possible you may have some record of ancestry there?

My data shows Domenico Antonio married Maria Saggesse bef. 1880, daughter of Nicola Saggese and Elisabetta Longobardi and the family came to U.S. Nov. 1893. Domenico Antonio probably earlier.

Would be happy to hear should we have connections in common.

All best,

Hi There,

I'm so glad to see that you were able to finally get into the forum and put a post out there. :)

Now did you try to write to the town itself for records?

Here is the address

Ufficio Civile State
Comune di Serre
Siepe Grande Snc (via)
84028 Serre SA

Here is their official website.
http://www.comune.serre.sa.it/

Here is a link that will help you translate your letter to Italian.

I hope this helps,
Trish

Hey, Trish!

I was not aware there was a website for Serre and a place to send for info. Translation help also most welcome!

As you may remember, this particular search is for my godfather's family, and I have been unable until just recently to get back on the site.

In the meantime, I have been pursuing leads into my mother's and father's heritages, and a lack of leads caused me to drop this Palladeno inquiry.

My cousin (whose family line this is) plans to go to Salerno in June. Your info will help us get him ready to go search there.

Thanks again ever so much, and best of holiday seasons!
