Common first name spellings like Isabella

Thanks to some sleuthing my brother inally got the name of my great-grandfather's parents. GGGGm's name was spelled "Ezsabella" which I believe is a misspelling based on phonetics. Ezsabella Mattiazi- the last name was slaughtered too, but I know there as as many Mattiazis in the region (Franzoni Paese) as Zanattas. That leaves me needing a decent first name spelling before I write off for records.

What would the proper or common first name spelling of Isabella be in the region? My great grandfather was mostly well-written but I've notice some fluidity with vowels and even spelled his own wife's name differently a few times.

Isabella is the only correct spelling for this name.
