Help with Surname

Post by CiaoBella1313 »

This is the first time I came across this surname...on the bottom line.

Not sure if it is Giovanna Mosiello or Moriello??

Grazie!

Moriello is a name found mostly in Campania today. What is the comune? You could check to see if either spelling is still present in the town.

This record is from Campania. So, maybe it is Moriello.

I tried looking up Mosiello and nothing was found but there was a lot for Moriello.

Hi

Both surnames Mosiello and Moriello appear in the region of Campania today. I am reading Mosiello in the extract you have posted here.

Are you able to post the full document which will include the name of the town. We will then also be able to make a better comparison with other letters "r" and "s". Better still, if you have a link to the document, post that. Cheers.

I notice that the "r" in Pietro looks very similar but it would still be helpful to see the full record.

Angela :)

Grazie tutti!

Last week, I found more records. I can clearly see it is an ''s''.

So, Mosiello is a new surname for me. :D
