Re: D'Avino, Carmine (?Birth) Translation
Hi Dolores!
Record date: Feb 11th, 1868
Giovanni D'Avino, son of Carmine, produced to the Registrar of Frigento a decree by the Court of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, authorizing the late birth declaration of his son Carmine, born Sep 25th, 1867. A copy of the decree follows.
Mother was Angela Noccia (sp?) daughter of Giovanni.
Child was born in their house in Frigento, Largo di Agostiniello
The attached sheet seems to be a marriage certificate for Carmine, and bride Maria Felice Amalia Genna. Carmine's birth date is wrong, as they did not write his real birth date, but the date his birth was declared.

To tell you the truth, after a more accurate check, it first says 1867, then (at the bottom of first page) 1865, and then (in second page) 1867 again. I'm led to say it really is 1867, as the transcription of the decree also says "born on last Sep 25".

Re: D'Avino, Carmine (?Birth) Translation
Thanks, again, Pippo. I'll go with 1867, noting the 1865 date also.
Grazie,
