Hello,
I'm looking for some sources of information that regard families living in Reggio Calabria in the mid to late 1800s and into the 1900s. Im looking for info regarding Vincenzo Vilasi or Theresa Polimeni or any people by those last names. Can someone please send me some links or email addresses of sites/ people that specialize in the genealogy of families in Reggio Calabria?
In addition, does anyone have a good source of information regarding military officials who fought in WWI for Italy? My great-grandfather, Vincenzo Vilasi, was an artillery captain on the Austrian front and I would love to see some records to back this up.
Thanks for the help!
Serena

For all the comunes in the province of Reggio Calabria including the comune of Reggio Calabria, this link should help:

Military Records - You'll have to narrow your research to a specific region http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_Italy, then find out if the local "Archivio di Stato" had started a digital project for local soldiers.
