So Lenoardo's father is listed as Mastro Gaetano Russo age 38 Mother Rosa La Forte

What does the Mastro mean- I know its master in english so was this guy important or is it common to name a child this???

The word Mastro in this case relates to his occupation. He was a master craftsman. His occupation is listed as "calzolaio" which is a cobbler or a shoemaker. Leonardo has not been listed as a "Mastro" that I can see.
