Castel Del Monte, L'Aquila

My ancestors come from Castel Del Monte in L'Aquila. Does anyone know where I can find information about this commune? I would be interested in any old maps, pictures, facts, etc. When you aren't familiar with the geography, Google is NOT your friend.

Also, where can I find out about cemeteries in that area during the 1800's. Obviously they were buried somewhere, but I can't find the names of any old cemeteries.

In the Napoleonic Era (early 1800s), one of the reforms made in the areas the French troops conquered (which includes most of Italy) was to require each town to relocate its cemetery to outside the populated area. This was for health reasons.
