Caterina remembered the day of his funeral

Post by nrepole »

Hi all
I am trying to translate the phrase:
"The late Caterina, another granddaughter of Francesco, remembered the day of his funeral"
My attempt is:
"La defunta Caterina, un’altra nipote di Francesco, ha ricordato il giorno del suo funerale"

Is this ok?

Many thanks in advance

Could you be more specific in the context. The phrases before and after this one?

Sure, the sentence is an introduction to a story that Caterina once told me.

In this case I believe it is better to say "ricordava".
