Can anyone read (and translate) the last word of the attached phrase?
As near as I can tell this reads, "un pezzo di cassaneto", or "a piece of <untranslatable>". Obviously I'm either reading the last word incorrectly or missing a change in the language.

Re: Yet another difficult word
You should post the entire page.
Re: Yet another difficult word
Here is the relevant paragraph, followed by a different paragraph.
The page is a series of paragraphs which look much the same, save that there are different names and there are references to figs, vineyards, tall trees, etc. in place of the word I can't read.

Re: Yet another difficult word
I believe it is "un pezzo di castaneto" --> a piece (of land) with chestnut trees

Thanks!

Re: Yet another difficult word
Since the whole paragraph is visible... is the start of the third line (looks like "ed il Marse" with a line over the third word) an abbreviation for "ed il Marchese"?

I would say yes.VotM wrote:Since the whole paragraph is visible... is the start of the third line (looks like "ed il Marse" with a line over the third word) an abbreviation for "ed il Marchese"?
Re: Yet another difficult word
I was having trouble with that third line. Thanks for clarifying, liviomoreno!
