Letter of recognition??? for Italian citizenship?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Letter of recognition??? for Italian citizenship?

Post by italy50 »

I am confused on the different responces I see on forums about the recognition of Italian citizenship.

Some people say they receive a "letter of recognition" from theiir Consulate

Some people say they received a "package and letter"

Some say they received their 'certificate of citizenship" from their comune in Italy

I am still waiting to hear that my citizenship has been recognized, and now don`t really know what to expect, since I am reading too many different responces

My consular official said that I would receive a letter from HIM, and i suppose he is giving me the correct info, but then i see others ask the same question, and I try to tell them (my experience), and am told i am wrong.

Can someone tell me EXACTLY what I can expect? Are the Consulates that different? is there a package?
