feedback on letter to Ufficio Anagrafe

Post by kencwalker »

This is my first attempt to contact Italian officials to get civil records in my great grandparents hometown. This is a marriage record request to confirm family connections, then will work on birth and death records.
I created the email/letter below from something adelfio/Marty posted on another topic thread. Feedback appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks, I wondered about providing the year.
I'm pretty sure it's 1862, but could be 1861-63.
I'll modify accordingly.

Another question: I also want the birth record for their first child (born in 1863).
Is it better to ask for both at once, or in 2 separate requests?
Thanks!

I'd like to make this as easy as possible for the Ufficio Anagrafe to respond.
Can anyone comment on combining two record requests in the 1861-63 time frame into 1 request? Which is more likely to get a response?
Thanks --Ken
