1948 case questions

Hi, I've recently been doing some research into my family tree and reading the threads on 1948 cases and am potentially interested in pursuing a 1948 court case, but was hoping to get some input from the knowledgeable folks on this forum.

First, I just wanted to confirm that I might be eligible to bring a 1948 case. My family history is the following:
Italian GF came to the US in 1909 and naturalized in 1919.
Italian GM came to the US in 1920 and naturalized in 1933.
My father was born in the US in 1930 and I was born in 1968.
Does this seem like I have a shot on these facts?

Second, I understand that in addition to other documents I would need to provide evidence of naturalization of both my grandparents. I obtained the attached Petitions for Naturalization for my grandparents, in which it appears that naturalization was granted and a Certificate of Naturalization number is listed. I'm a little confused if there is a separate Certificate of Naturalization or if it is encompassed in this Petition. In any event, does anyone know whether these attached documents are sufficient evidence to the court in a 1948 case or do I need to try to obtain the referenced Certificates of Naturalization? If so, any advice on the best way to go about doing that would be most welcome.

I apologize if this last question has been previously answered in a thread, but I am a newbie to this subject and did not come across it.

Since your father was born before your GM naturalized, Yes you have a 1948 case.

Here's the short answer:
You need a certified copy of the Certification of Naturalization.
You can obtain them from the National Archives (NARA) for a fee.

I'm wondering if you ever received certified naturalization records from the USCIS? I heard that they can only provide photocopies, and if so, I am wondering whether it was possible to use those for your 1948 case. Your help would be much appreciated!

Hi, no, I didn't obtain certified naturalization records from USCIS. I am also using Luigi in my 1948 case and he said that the documents attached above were sufficient and they were because the court awarded me citizenship last month. If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me.
