Hi there
I have been researching the Allegati Matrimoniali of my ancestor Giuseppe Oliveri. As expected this included a copy of his birth certificate. I can read that he was baptized 29 December 1791 (born the day before) as son of Antonino Oliveri and Giuseppa Triolo. However, can someone read his full name? I am not sure about this: "Joseph Franciscus-Paulus (?) Joannes: ??: Josepho Anello et Emmanuela Lombardo". I suppose the last two names are the godparents.
Thanks, Roberto
What is the full name of the child?

Re: What is the full name of the child?
I'd say Giuseppe Francesco Paolo Giovanni.
The word after looks like suscip so maybe an abbrecviation for suscipe/suscipio so probably meaning that they took up the role to be Godparents, but this is my interpretation, I've never learned Latin.

Re: What is the full name of the child?
I fully agree with that, thanks Angela.
However, is there a hyphen between Franciscus and Paulus, or is it just me? i.e. Francesco-Paolo ?
Francesco-Maria, Giuseppe-Maria, XX-Maria is common for males, but I have never seen a double name with Paolo.
Any suggestions?

Yes, you are right. It does look like Francesco-Paolo. Notice also the commas between the given names: Giuseppe, Francesco-Paolo, Giovanni, which confirms the two names are hyphenated. An interesting combination.

Apparently, there was a St Francesco di Paola: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_of_Paola
That would fit.
Angela
That would fit.

Yes, but still strange that I am not able to google/Familysearch a single person with hyphenated "Francesco-Paolo". That said, the name combination without hyphen is very common of course.
