Marriage of Tommaso Guastella & Giovanna

Post by sacesta »

The marriage publication of Pietro Guastella and Margarita Sciortino of 1630 states that Pietro's parents are Tommaso Guastella and Giovanna (maiden name not mentioned).

The only record I could find that comes close to a marriage record for Tommaso and Giovanna is this marriage pub of Tommaso Guasto and Giovanna Accardo, and I wonder if this could be the couple I'm looking for. In this record and the index that refers to it Tommaso's last name is written as Guasto (not Guastella). Could this be the ancestor I'm looking for?

Couldn't you find the actual record?

No.

Film# 2015795 is titled "Morti 1781-1910 Matrimoni 1565-1778" but the marriage records are publications, not the actual records. That's where I found the record I posted above.

Another film, 2015711 contains marriage records that go only as far back as 1619.
