Translation of Notes on Birth Record

Post by datxcali »

Hello.

I came across the following birth record and would like a translation if possible:

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cat=483421

It's number #1029. I know this person to be Paolo Rotante, but his record calls him "Giovanni Rodante". It seems they made a correction on the last name, but I'm confused with the "Giovanni - Paolo" writing. Does this mean that his middle name is actually Paolo or that they simply made a mistake?

Thanks!

The given name is "Giovanni Paolo". The side note says that the surname should read Rotante.
