Applying for citizenship

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Applying for citizenship

Post by jholden936 »

So I am starting the process of applying for my Italian Citizenship and have no clue where to even begin. I have come across many websites out there that say that they can help, however they seem to charge exorbitant fees. I am wondering if it is possible to get through this process on my own, and if so how and where do I go about getting the copies of the certificates that I need from Italy (birth and marriage)? Any help that anyone could provide me would be great. Thank you so much!
