Translation of Caputo/Forgione Marriage documents

Post by Cferra »

Hello.

I was wondering if someone could translate a couple documents I found on Ancestry.com. These pertain to my search for the Forgione family starting with the parents of my great grandmother, Clementina Forgione. I believe these documents are for Clemente Forgione and Maria Rosa Caputo, who are her parents.

Clementina was born in Gesualdo, Italy in August 1884.

I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance!

The first one is a marriage record dated Nov 29th, 1858
Groom: Clemente Forgione, widower, 48 years old, labourer, born and living in this town, at strada Porta?? son of Pasquale Forgione, peasant, and Angela ?? (it's blurred), both deceased and resident in this town when alive
Bride: Maria Rosa Caputo, widow, 42 yo, born and living in this town, at the same street, daughter of Giovanni Caputo, peasant, and Rosangiola Dragone, both deceased and resident in this town when alive

But if Clementina's birthdate was the one you mentioned, these can't be her parents, as they would be too old.
Maybe it's a case of homonymy, or you might have some wrong info. Where did you get Clementina's birth date, and the names of her parents?

The other record is related to the marriage of a possible sister of Maria Rosa, named Maria Teresa.
Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

I screwed up. I meant to say grandparents. Sorry! It was rather late when I posted.

I got Clementina's birth date from both my grandmother (That would make her her mother.) and this document that confirms it and her marriage to Guiseppe Carrabs. Here they are:

Clementina's birth record which states her DOB, her parents names and her grandparents:

They were also in a publication, too. Someone on this site gave me that document. Her parents names were Felice Forgione and Maria Luigia Penta.

Her grandparents on the record are stated as Clemente Forgione and Maria Rosa Caputo. Here is her marriage document or banns:

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=2043434

That cites her marriage to Guiseppe. It also lists her grandparents. They appear again here in this death record for Clemente.

Someone also gave me files I would have to check out if I were to go to a family center at a library. Luckily there is one nearby. Just have issues translating it all.
