I am having great difficulty reading this marriage publication and would appreciate any help.

Giuseppe Pietro Montesano, born in Chiaromonte, age 25, shopkeeper, resident of Chiaromonte, son of Maurizio and Emmanuela Allegretti,

What comes next is where I don’t trust my translation. If they actually married then I assume it was in the bride’s Commune since there it does not appear in the 1888 or 1889 marriage indexes for Chiaromonte.

Bride is Mariarosa Ciancsi, age 17, born and resident of San Severino Lucano, Potenza, property owner, daughter of Taverio and Maria Giuseppa Bruni, both born and resident of San Severino Lucano, Potenza

One of the witnesses is Cleminte Bruni, age 30. Does it state his relationship? Since Mariarosa was only 17 years old should her father, who if living, have granted permission?
