Looks like I have a question a day now... thanks so much everyone for all the help, it's been extremely fruitful in discovering my wife's ancestors!

I'm looking for the spelling of Settimo Giorlando's mother's name in this death act #681:

Oh I think it's Ferro Tommaso based on his birth act.

Is Tommasa her first name? Otherwise, do last names change based on gender? That would be the first time I see that.
