Birth No 60: Angiolina Genua
Side Note: 17 February 1900 marries Giovanni Russoli(e)llo (correct spelling is Russolillo)

Frigento: 25 April 1878
Gennaro Genua, 32 yo, contadino, living Frigento, reported that at 2.20 am, on 25 April 1878 in the house in Contrada Lappierti, No 8, from Maria Rosaria Ciullo, his wife, a contadina, living with him, was born a baby girl who he presented, and gave the name Angiolina.

Witnesses:
Raffaele Pelosi, 37 yo, musician, and Luigi di Zeo, 39 yo, attendant, both living in the town

The father did not sign as he was illiterate.

I believe Angiolina's surname is spelt Genua.

Ciao Dolores

Personally, I believe the name that appears in Frigento, and your records, is Genua. I have looked for the name Genna in your pre 1866 records, but this name I did not see. However, I did see the name Genua. Even today, in the white pages, I see Genua, but no Genna in Frigento:

Genua: https://www.paginebianche.it/ricerca?qs ... nto%20(AV)

Genna: https://www.paginebianche.it/ricerca?qs ... nto%20(AV) (The name does however appear in Napoli.)

Have a lovely day. :)
