9 April 1892, at Our Lady of the Rosary Orti Superiori, Stefano Scarfone and Josepha Franco went through the three marriage lessons on 13, 19, and 20 March before getting married. The witnesses were Antonio Romeo and Joanno Speranza.
I'm interested in a more complete translation for completionist and historical purposes, but it's not necessary.
What I need help with is the structure. Does the certificate state that Stefano's father is Antonio and Josepha's father is Vincenzo?
Also -- I'm aware it was common to "Latinize" names -- is it safe to assume that "Josepha" is "Giuseppa" and/or "Josephina/Josephine"? I've seen English-language documents that identify this person as "Josephina" but I don't know if that's a product of transliteration at Ellis Island or misremembering after a period of time.
