Hey guys,
Has anyone been to see the Catacombe dei Cappuccini in Palermo?
If so, can you tell me about it? I'd really love to go.

Re: Catacombe dei Cappuccini
Thanks, but I've seen the website, and the documentaries, and studied it at school....
What I was hoping for were some personal stories. How did you feel? Did it change how you feel about anything? Did you have lots of time or were you rushed? Were there lots of people there? Were you able to look at what you wanted to look at? Was there someone on hand to answer questions? Is it hot and stuffy? Are there lots of stairs?

I've been, went a few years ago. It was wonderful, but I like that sort of thing. We basically wandered around the catacombs as much as we wanted, no rush at all, definitely could look at anything we wanted. It wasn't crowded. Catacombs are generally not hot or stuff since they're usually underground (thus cool and refreshing). Yes stairs, because it's a crypt built before elevators
I don't remember anyone being on hand to answer questions, but generally, being part of a church, sites like this have the caretaker on hand, who could probably answer questions.
