On 18 April 1842 at the town hall of Santo Stefano appeared Sebastiano Todaro, 78, a laborer, and Giuseppe Glorioso, 40, a fisherman, who stated that on this date died Giuseppe Azzaretto, 76, widower of Grazia Dovi?; he was born in Santo Stefano, occupation fisherman, father the deceased Vicenzo. No mother's name on the act.

Based on other handwriting on this and the following act, I think it's Dovi'.

I agree with Biff here. Also, you can still find the surname Dovì in Santo Stefano, but Davì doesn't appear at all.
Researching Gibellina, Sicily surnames Bivona, Bonafede, Zummo, Ponzio, Bevinetto, Beninati, Fontana, Cipolla, Bruno, Manfrè, Lanfranca, and Navarra
