Surname Busato

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I am looking for my family tree and we are trying to locate my Mother's Father, Orlando Busato possibly Orlindo.

I don't know anything about him apart from he was an a prisoner of War and in the Interment camp in Moray, Scotland. He worked on a farm for POW and met my Grandma. They never married but they had 3 children, Twins a boy and a girl in 1945 and another girl in 1946. The boy sadly died in a fire in Rothes, Scotland in 1950. Orlando is named on the death Certificate as his Father but we are not sure if he is originally from Italy or from somewhere else as we don't know how old he was so I am hoping someone might know from Italy.

If anyone can help or give some advice on where to find a link as i have searched Ancestry and My Heritage and Scotland's People for records but none are showing so we know he moved back after the war sometime around 1947 ish.

The surname Busato can be found all over Italy so your research MUST Begin in Scotland. There should be some POW information to be found. It is also possible he was already in Scotland before the war and was simply interred.

Hi we have tried but there are no records of him on being a pow in Scotland even though we know he was, I have just come up against a brick wall on where to look now as his name doesnt appear, the problem is that we don't know his age but he is definitely registered on the death certificate of his son under that name thanks for your help though

Have you looked for the birth acts of Orlando's children?
