Michele MARTINO is our connection - Daniel's 2nd-gr (I think) and my 3rd gr-grandfather. Michele was married twice. My 3rd-gr grandmother was Anna Rosa MELE. She died a day after giving birth to their youngest son. Almost a year later he remarried: Elisabetta LARAGIONE, which is Daniel's 2nd (?) gr-grandmother. My 2nd-gr grandmother Mariangiola MARTINO is a half sister to Daniel's gr-grandmother Anna Rosa MARTINO.
Daniel - I have PM'd you with ways to connect with me on Facebook, Ancestry, and email. I have photos, dates, and can take it back a couple more generations. I have a great resource, a former mayor of Ripacandida named Giuseppe Annunziata. He maintains a site dedicated to Ripacandida's heritage.
We also have another Martino cousin living in California, descended from Raffaela Martino (sister of Mariangiola Martino and half sister to Anna Rosa Martino). Raffaela's descendant is Michelle Phillips. Michelle and her husband Dave just came back from a trip to Ripacandida and got to meet Giuseppe and learn more about our Martino family.
