Dear John,(John08)
I am relatively new and do not know Italian but am trying to learn and make out words myself. I wonder if it could be Naggia? Someone gave me this wonderful site to look at surnames which might be helpful. Please take a look; at first I thought Faggia or Zaggia but there are none. I am probably wrong so be patient and other's will come along that know Italian and answer you. In the mean time this is a wonderful guide. Look at areas where surname Naggia is.

I believe the surname begins with the letter I (eye). It looks like Iuppa to me, a name that is found in the town.
