Post by jrbak »

Ciao ancora,
Would you please help me with the translation of my 4th great grandmother's death record, pg. 30, #33, Anna Ambrosio, circa 1795.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cat=442795

Thank you so much,

Oct 20th, (1795) in the same cemetery.
Anna Ambrosio, wife of Giuseppe, son of deceased Domenico Ambrosio, age 45, was buried. She had died on the day before.
Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

Dear PippoM,
Thank you so much for the two translations. I think I had better post for help in locating a record before I move forward as I do not want to waste yours or anyone's time translating incorrect records for me. I am now at a point where the records are difficult to decipher as they are not only in Latin but I cannot make out the names either to even make an educated guess. Thank you so much for your help.

Anna Ambrosio, wife of Giuseppe, daughter of deceased Domenico Ambrosio, age 45, was buried. She had died on the day before.
Hopefully this helps to clarify. (I think I'm right?)

Thank you so much PippoM and Angela,
This is the last of my guesses as this is NOT the record I thought it was. I am so sorry I sent you both on a wild goose chase. Lessons learned! I was looking for the record with Anna as Domenico's wife. I will try again and keep looking or place a post.
Thank you both so very much!!

As always, you are very welcome Jefferie. No problems re it being the incorrect record. This happens all the time with others as well. You wouldn't really have known until you had it translated, and I am sure this record will come up in someone else's history at some stage, or it might even be in yours somewhere along a branch. Nothings ever lost in having these records translated.
