Deciphering Middle Name

Post by Tanner »

Here is the birth act of a distant relative of mine:

The name is "Rocco Rodolfo Massimo Galileo" and then the last 'middle' name I've never seen before at all, it looks almost like 'Euglüchlico" but that is not even close to any name I've ever heard of.

Does anyone have any opinions as to what this name is?

I see it as Eugliichlico ...but I can't find any clues about it. Google doesn't seem to have anything on either version....

I agree with Nick. The name is very odd, but it's clearly a double i and not a ü. That looks weird to an English-speaker, but "ii" appears in Italian. (zii, partii, etc.)

I thought it could be "ii" but I thought that looked very strange, looking again I belive you're both right. The name is definitely the oddest I've encountered looking at Italian records. Thank you both for your help!
