The baby was born on the day before (baptism took place on Feb 19th, 1739).
Godparents were Giovanni Battista, son of deceased Giovanni de Salà (?) and his sister Domenica Maria, all from the same town. The priest who baptized her was Antonio ? from Vergnasco, diocese of Vercelli (he came from very far, for that time!!)

Good Afternoon, PippoM,
Thank you so very much for translating the birth record for Maria C. Nigris (Negri). I found it so interesting what you said about the priest coming from far away, Vergnasco in Vercelli. I tried to find a correlation to other's births, deaths, marriages but found nothing. I wonder if he was a visiting priest for the time or if he was a friend of the family? I know later on my 2nd great grandfather lived in Santhia (his wife and family were landowners there) and one of his daughter's was born in Graglia, Vercelli but that was much later. Other than that, at least so far I know of no other ties. I will let you know if I find something as it would be interesting to know especially the distance involved. Thank you for all of your work.
