Hi all,
So I've been working on research into this great uncle and his wife. They were, according to the addendum on his birth certificate, married in Rome in 1931. I don't know where in Rome, it doesn't have any more detail. I might be in Rome next month, and am wondering which Ufficio di Anagrafe is the best one to go search for this record. I've been online searching, but there's a bunch of different choices. My Italian is ok, but the technical language of these sites is difficult to penetrate. Can anyone advise me on the various offices to find a marriage record from 1931 in Rome? Maybe the best thing to do is email a few different places before I go? Thanks everybody...!

You might want to take a look here:
https://www.comune.roma.it/web/it/sched ... =anagrafe1
it doesn't say what you have to do if the subject of the certificate has passed away.
