Re: Translation of Marriage needed for: Crupi/Ambrosio
Hi there
Do you realise that the Civil Records are on line for the town of Bova? You are probably better to look through those as they give more information than the church records. Also, I can't zoom in on the images that you have posted here. When I click on them I just get the next page?
Here's the vital info from the Civil Marriage:
Marriage No 15: Domenico Francesco Crupi and Caterina Ambrosio
Bova: 6 September 1872
Groom: Domenico Francesco Crupi, 43 yo, Massaro di Campi (Estates' Manager/Fields' Manager?), Celibe (never married), born in Siderno, and living in Bova, son of the deceased Vincenzo (Crupi) and of Caterina Romeo, lived/living in Bova.
Bride: Caterina Ambrosio, 19 yo, nubile, (never married), contadina, born and living in Bova, daughter of living Antonino (Ambrosio) and of Maria Romeo, both living in Bova.

Re: Massaro di Campo - In my notes I have written - A type of manager of an estate who supervised the contadini in the field/s.

Thank you very much. I had looked for this through the civil records site but couldn't find it. I must have missed it.
I appreciate your help!

There are indices at the end of each year.
