Male or Female

Post by rp76226 »

The following link appears to be a death record (# 292) for Carmelo Puma, which would indicate a male person. However, after the age, the occupation given is for a female. Which is it?

Carmelo's occupation was industrioso (trader/manufacturer). A male!
(If the occupation was for a female it would be industriosa.)

My translation occupational cheat sheet only has the female version. What bothers me here is that it does not say that he was married (May 5,1857). I show a wife, Giuseppa Petrozella, and 11 children, and his parents are correct. I don't understand how that would have been left off.
