Help finding records

Post by delfgill »

Hi Everyone,

Atti di Morte #44 - Zeo

The death act lists Paterno as her place of birth in approximately 1833.

For reasons unknown, I immediately thought Paterno, Sicily and searched birth records 1829 through 1839 but didn't find any Zeo surnames. After two cups of coffee I realized it was Paterno, Potenza, where my family is from. However, Antenati - Archivio di Stato di Potenza does not include a subfolder for Paterno. Am I looking in the wrong place/wrong website?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I hope everyone is healthy and doing well.

Before 1973, Paterno was part of the Comune di Marsico Nuovo.
So, I think you can look in such folder.

Thank you, Pippo. I found the birth record in the Marsico Nuovo registry.
