Help with Translation of Marriage document

Post by JohnBhoy »

Hi everyone, in my research of my family tree I think I may have found the marriage cert for my GG Grandparents and would like to ask if someone could translate this for me please.

My GG grandfather was Felice Dodero and my GG grandmother was Domencia Maritano ( I have her as Carolina Domenica Maritano but this record shows Maria Domenica Maritano).

They lived in Sant Antonino di Susa and this is where my G grandfather was born.

Any help with this translation would be very much appreciated, thank you for any help given,

John

On October 25, 1879, at town hall in Sant’Antonino di Susa appeared:
Felice Antonino Dodero, age 25, farmer, born in this comune, resident here, son of Andrea (Dodero), deceased, a resident of this comune when he was living, and Marianna Lombardo, resident of this comune
and
Maria Domenica Maritano, age 23, farmer, born in Sant’Ambrogio, resident of this comune, daughter of Antonio (Maritano) a resident of this commune, and of Angela Listello, resident of this comune,

who requested to be united in marriage. The town official married them before witnesses.

Hi bbivona,
thank you sooooooooo much for your help with this translation, it is absolutely amazing and very much appreciated.
I have been trawling thousands of images from the town records searching and downloading any with the names I know so far...Dodero, Maritano and Cometto. Your translation has greatly helped me and I now have another generation back in my tree to research.

Thank you again,
John
