Could you please translate the death registry in more detail?
Time and place of death. Who is the reference to Vito and Leonardo Virgilio?
Thank you very much! I am working on my family tree and these are people unknown to me. I would like to understand who they were.

The document does not say in what relationship Vito and Leonardo were in with Giuseppe.

Those who reported deaths were often just friends, neighbors, co-workers, or just fellow townsfolk - and not relatives. Note the deceased also was a farmer, like the informants were.

I just want to clarify something here, the statement made here is somewhat misleading. It was certainly not uncommon, for relatives of the deceased to report the death. I have often seen records where the father and uncle have reported a death of a child, for example; I have seen sons, nephews, soninlaws etc reporting a death, and so on.
Also, just to add, some towns that I have researched, it seemed almost the norm for the two gravediggers to report a death.
