Meaning of "detto Ravel/Raveli"

Post by rfiorille »

I appreciate anyone's help in understanding the meaning of the words "detto Ravel/i" on these two death records for Pietro Michelli and his widow Anna Barbacovi. Pietro Michelli lived in Vion, Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. Is Ravel or Raveli possibly a sopranome for Pietro Michelli? If so, any ideas as to the meaning of the nickname?

Thank you,
Robert

Yes, it could be an alias - Baveli or Raveli?
