Marriage publication of Carlo Antonio Quinto Bosco and Maria Tersilla Ermelinda Dodero

February 8, 1884 at the town hall of Sant’Antonio di Susa appeared Carlo Antonio Quinto Bosco, age 33, shoemaker, resident of this comune, son of Giacomo (deceased), resident in life at Masserano, and of Maria Zarella, home maker, resident of Masserano. Also appeared Maria Tersilla Ermelinda Dodero, age 27, home maker, resident of this comune, daughter of Andrea (Dodero), deceased, resident in life of this comune, and of Marianna Lombardo, farmer, resident of this comune, who requested that I publish their intent to marry. Quinto Bosco and Ermelinda Dodero declared to me that the groom was born in Masserano, the bride in Sant’Antonio di Susa, and the groom has lived as least a year in in Sant’Antonio di Susa, and his parents don’t preclude his marriage.

The documents are: Birth acts of the intended spouses…
The death act of Angela Neri, wife of the groom on December 26 of last year, 1883. The groom also presented his document of military leave.
The act read to the participants, they signed.
Quinto Bosco
Emelinda Dodero

February 10, 1884 the first publication occurred.
February 17, 1884 the second publication occured.

Thank you once again bbivona, so much info and more to add to my tree, slightly confused though, is this the actual marriage certificate or just a record to show the Banns were published and I need to find a marriage cert later in the records?

best regards and thanks again,
John

This is just the publication of the intent to marry. On the right side it lists the dates the notices were published. There should be an actual marriage act as well.

Thank you, I haven't come across it yet, should they be in the same records or should I be looking for a different set of records?

The marriage publications and marriage acts are separate records. How they are grouped online depends on the archive. Antenati almost always has them as separate sections. FamilySearch sometimes has different types of files in the same film, so it could be in the same file.

All starting to make more sense now...I think I have had a roll of luck over the past weeks with my posts for help as I must have found the marriage records first as I have trawled through things as I understood which were births and deaths but took publications and Matrimony as the same.

thanks again...more trawling to do
