Help with translations for marriage certs of three siblings - I think
Getting a little confused with some records I am discovering...
Was it common practice for families to give their children names that may include the same name?
Examples relate to my GG Grandfather and other siblings from what I think I understand from the records
My GG Grandfather was Felice Antonio Dodero, born 1854'ish and married to Maria Domenica Maritano in October 1879

His parents were Andrea Dodero and Marianna Lombardo
I have just found this record - entry number 5
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... at=1019419
For Maurilio Felice Dodero,
Then this one - entry number 4
Maurilio Effisio

Are they siblings or am I mistaken?
Many thanks,
John

Re: Help with translations and confusion re first names
It looks like siblings. The parents' names are identical for both. Then it says that Maurilio Felice was born December 6, 1860 and he is listed as a farmer. Maurilio Effisio is shown as age 27 in May of 1885, putting his birth in 1857-1858, and he is listed as a muratore (mason/builder). Also if they were the same person, the first marriage would have been referenced in the second document, listing a deceased wife.
Researching Gibellina, Sicily surnames Bivona, Bonafede, Zummo, Ponzio, Bevinetto, Beninati, Fontana, Cipolla, Bruno, Manfrè, Lanfranca, and Navarra
