Rosasco Birth Record
Rosasco Birth Record
Looking for someone to translate a birth record for Teresa Rosasco. I have been unable to read this clearly to be able to use google translate to translate it word for word. Hoping someone who is familiar with the language will be able to see it better than I to translate it. It is record NO. 14 last record on page on left hand side and continued on page on right hand side of image. I am unable to obtain a clearer image. I have attached two copies of the same attachment but in different colors to try and making reading easier. Thank you so much for this.

If this is an online record, do you have the link? On hard to read stuff it helps a lot to be able to see other pages around the document for handwriting clues and other helpful context. Plus it tends to be easier to zoom in and out to the appropriate level for optimal reading.

It's a shame that image is so fuzzy. I can make out part of it, although my confidence level isn't 100%. Here is what I am reading:
March 11, 1873 at the commune offices appeared Antonio Rosasco, son of Luigi, deceased, and of Caterina ____, deceased, a farmer, age 47. (Lots of fuzzy stuff here in these next lines.) Then
he presented a child born of his wife, Catterina Rosasco, and the child was given the name of Teresa.

Well done bbivona. This is probably the worst record I've seen for a along time. I've found the same record on Family Search, where it's so much clearer. I've just extracted the vital details:
Birth No 14: Teresa Rosasco
Registered in the town of Moconesi on 11 March 1873
Baby girl was born on 9 March 1873 and given the name Teresa.
Father: Antonio Rosasco, 44 yo, a contadino, born and living this town, son of the deceased Luigi Rosasco and Catterina Rosasco.
Mother: Catterina Rosasco, Antonio's wife, daughter of Giambatisto Rosasco

Wow, the FamilySearch record is so clear! I hadn't realized that Ancestry.com's images weren't the same ones. Good to know.

Happy to help. As your records are on Family Search, when you are needing a record translated, the easiest option would be to post the link to the online record there. It saves you downloading the record and then uploading here. It's easier for us also if we can go straight to the online record. (Also, Family Search is the preferred option because we don't all have access to the records on Ancestry.

I think they are the same images taken from the same films that Family Search filmed years ago. I think what makes them so different in quality is possibily how they have been digitised.
