Am I on the right track?

Genetic genealogy is the application of genetics to traditional genealogy. Genetic genealogy involves the use of genealogical DNA testing to determine the level and type of the genetic relationship between individuals.

Am I on the right track?

Post by lyn1982 »

From my tree here: https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/tr ... 2135448777 does it seem like I have correctly found my great grandfather's grandparents and that they are Raimondo Imbro and Giovanna Fradella? (You can search dnamatch in the tree to see where I've placed my dnamatches, I removed their names and replaced them with the cm value and surname dnamatch.)

I know these aren't very high cm matches, but unfortunately, the 43cm match is the highest match I have on his line that has enough profile info to trace. These are all the matches I can place though there are more triangulating matches with surnames from this tree that I do not know exactly how they are related, so please no replies about the matches being too low or too few!

To explain it better it seems to me that I have multiple matches descended from 2 different children of Antonino Fradella 1780– and Maria Carmela Muscato who married in the 1790s. As well as multiple matches descending from different children of Raimondo Cumella and Maria Palillo whom married in the 1790s.

Cumella grandchild Raimondo Imbro married Fradella grandchild Giovanna Fradella in 1864 so my thinking is that this must be my great grandfather's grandparents.

(also fixed the tree now it wasn't correctly showing lines all the way back, think I fixed them all now.) Hope somebody will confirm I am correct on my assumption of these being my great grandfathers parents.
