March 24, 1904 at 11:30 a.m. at the town hall in Orsogna appeared

Giovanni Damiano, age 18, farmer, born in Orsogna, resident in Orsogna, son of Gioacchino (Damiano), deceased, in life a resident Orsogna, and of Concezia Penna, resident of this comune, and

Nicola Barbato, age 22, farmer, born in Orsogna, resident in this comune, daughter of Eleuterio (Barbato), resident in Orsogna, and of Maria Luigia d’Alleva, resident of Orsogna

who requested to be united in marriage. All documents having been filed, the spouses took their vows before witnesses Vincenzo Pace, age 68, landowner, and Francesco Rizzacasa, age 58, (not sure of occupation), both residents of this comune. The documents presented included certification of the publications of intent, first on March 13 and second on March 20.

To the said marriage only the consent of the mother of the groom is given, not having been able to obtain the father’s, as explained in the publication of intent. The act read to the participants, only the witnesses signed because the spouses do not know how to write.

Thank you very much! I apologize for the number of translation requests I am sending. I have a very large Italian family and I find your translations very informative. I have been able to locate other family based on it, and have learned why I couldn't find death registries on some others because they had died at birth.
I appreciate all the time and effort everyone has taken to do this for me.

Can you please translate the birth registry for Nicola Barbato for me? I sent the request August 28 at 23:19.
