Italians in Karaagatch/Adrianople

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

Italians in Karaagatch/Adrianople

Post by 2mi3museum »

Dear friends,

I would like to share with you the story of the Italian part of my family which came to Karaagatch in 1870s from Palermo. With the memories of my family, governmental archives and the knowledge of old locals in Adrianople i've prepared the article below. The Sanzoni: From Palermo to Karaagac... I hope you will like it.

Also if you have ever heard about this family and have a story with them please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks,
Dimitri

Very cool! So you're 1/2 Sicilian, 1/4 Greek, and 1/4 German?

My grandmother is 1/2 Sicilian, 1/4 Greek, 1/4 German
My grandfather is 1/2 Greek, 1/2 Armenian

I can't calculate me and my father :) But i can say that i have Greek, Italian, Armenian roots :)
