I marvel at how you can translate documents like this. What kind of paper are the registries printed on that the ink bleeds through on many of them?

January 5, 1871 at noon at the town hall in Orsogna appeared

Giovanni di Benedetto, age 24, not previously married, farmer, born in Francavilla al Mare, domiciled in Orsogna since infancy, son of living spouses Vincenzo di Benedetto and Brigida di Rico, both farmers who are residents of this comune, and

Anna di Virgilio, age 16, not previously married, farmer, born in Canosa Sannita, resident in Orsogna, daughter of living spouses Camillo di Virgilio and Lucia di Benedetto, both farmers who are residents of Canosa Sannita
who requested to be united in marriage.

All documents having been filed, the spouses took their vows before witnesses Domenico Ceccarossi, age 32, reseller, and Carlo Galante, age 25, (not sure of profession), both residents of this comune. The documents presented included certification of the publications of intent in Canosa Sannita. The act read to the participants, only the witnesses signed because the spouses do not know how to write.

Other than a couple of spots, this one is not too bad if you're used to reading them. There are some where the handwriting is atrocious or the copy is badly damaged or faded, but on this one the handwriting isn't bad and the copy is fine.
