TRIOLA

Post by romunsell »

Seeking info for my GF Frank Triola, son of Salvatore Triola and Maria Daidona. I believe the birthplace was Camporeale but could also be Sambuca di Sicilia!

I had the name of of my GGF wrong. My GF was Francesco(Frank) Triola.I thought his father was Salvatore however I believe the information you found about his father (my GGF) was Simone Triola married to Maria Daidone . ThT makes much more sense. Although my father was Samuel everyone in his family called him Simone. Now I can see why. Now I’m trying to go beyond Simone to his parents but I can find nothing. I also can’t determine if my GF had siblings, etc. I’m just at a complete loss for the Triola/Triolo side. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I e been working on this for years now.

All of the information on the posts below are correct. My GF: Francesco Triolo born 2-23-1883 Camporeale
GGPs: Simone Triolo and Maria Daidone
The best birthdate for Simone that I can determine is around 1840 Camporeale. I have Maria Daidone as born somewhere around 1849 in Camporeale. I have been able to follow the Maria Daidone line on Ancestry, for a short timeline, however, there is nothing beyond Simone Triolo. Possibly his parents were Francesco Triolo and Catarina Maniscalco. I don’t know if that is correct information.
If there is any information you can help me with going further back than Simone, I would appreciate it so much. Thank you.

Frank,
You are correct Simone's parents were Francesco & Caterrina Maniscalo. He was born in 1840.

Is it possible that Antonio Triolo (1779) and Angela Cancialosi (1785) were Francesco’s parents? I am able to trace Caterina Maniscalco’s line back but nothing for Francesco or Angela.
Thanks so much for your help.

Re: TRIOLO

GGF Francesco Triolo
Born Feb 3, 1796 Camporeale
Married 1-23-1837 to Caterina Maniscalco

His Marriage Cert lists ANTONIO Triolo as father and Angela Cancialosi as Mother

Further research appears that Antonio had a brother ANTONINO both sharing parents Francesco Triolo and Domenica Campisi

ANTONINO married Maria Maniscalco on May 10, 1794 Poggiorale and further research is showing her as Francesco’s mother not Angela Cancialosi and ANTONINO as father.

Could someone help me find Francesco Triolo birth certificate Feb 3, 1796 Camporeale to determine who exactly his parents were? Antonio/Angela Cancialosi or Antonino/Maria Maniscalco ?

Thank you so much.
