January 12, 1912 before officials at the commune offices in Orsogna, appeared Giulia Polidoro, age 43, midwife, domiciled in Orsogna, who declared that at 6:00 a.m. on January 8 in the home at Corso Orientale, Maria di Rico, wife of Nicolò Iocco, both farmers domiciled in Orsogna, gave birth to a male child that was presented to the commune and who was given the name of Rocco, who was recognized to be lifeless.

Witnesses were Rocco d’Alleva, age 33, farmer, and Giovanni Cipollone, age 22, farmer, both of whom are residents of the commune. Only the midwife and the official signed because the other parties were unable to write.
