Maria Teresa Martellino 20 May 1857

Post by JamesM »

I found this record for the birth of Maria Teresa
http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... 4.jpg.html

I see she marries Lorenzo Paolino on 28 32 1876 and also marries another person at the top of the record but I can't make it out. Is Lorenzo from Caserta?
Also her parents are Paolo and Carmella. I can't read Carmela's surname either

May I assistance with these items?
Thanks,
James

On the right side it shows that she married Lorenzo Paulino of Caserta on February 28, 1876.
At the top it shows that she married Vincenzo Lantantonio in Marzano on 20 November 1890.
She was the daughter of Paolo Martellino and Carmela Colapietro.

Maria Teresa Martellino's daughter, Domenica Paolino, went to America in 1901. 20 August according to her naturalization.
Since she was young, I figured she travel with an adult; I'm assuming her mother.
And I have tried to find the surname Lantantonio in America, the name of Maria Teresa's second husband, to no avail. Also tried gens.info to locate the surname Lantantonio, it cannot be found.
I tried to open the record of arrival on ancestry but the image stall as it loads.
Could someone find that record and actually see if Domenica travel then and with who?
She would also have siblings named Tommaso and Crescenzo. Maybe a Carmine and Mariano also.
Thanks

I think the correct surname for Vincenzo is "Santantonio".
However, I've not been able to find him yet.

I agree with Santantonio as the surname.

Immigration records show

Domenica Paolino arriving at Boston February 7, 1902. Listed as age 11, from Marzano Appio. Travelling with her brothers Crescenzo Paolino, age 18, and Sabatino, age 15, as well as her cousin, Luigi Tozzi, age 23. They were going to her brothers, Mariano and Carmine, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. It says that Domenica, Crescenzo, and cousin Luigi had never been in the U.S. before, but Sabatino was there from 1899-1901.

Domenica Paolino arriving at Boston July 13, 1903. Listed as age 15 from Marzano Appio, travelling with Angela Santantonio, age 11. Shown as going to see brother Mariano Paolino in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Listed as never having been in the U.S.

Domenica Paolino arriving at Boston August 25, 1903. Listed as age 15, from Marzano Appio, apparently travelling alone, going to see brother Mariano Paolino, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. It says never before in the U.S.

Brother Mariano naturalized in 1905 and his naturalization record and passport application are available on Ancestry.com.
