Hi
.i
Unluckily this death certificate has “mother unknown”.
But all the evidence gathered until now points to the fact that Maddalena Vanzo nèe Marietta was the daughter of Giovanni Marietta Aleina and Maria Banche Turinet , born in Coassolo February 17 1871, as stated in the birth record found by Pippo

She was also the sister of Giuseppe, as stated in his obituary, and all Giuseppe’s documents are consistent on the fact that his mother was Maria (marriage, death, passport request)
Giuseppe’s obituary also states that his siblings (in addition to Maddalena), were two other sisters and a brother living in Italy. Domenico, Pietro, and Stefano are not named.
Domenico and Stefano are the children of another couple: Giovanni and Domenica Vietti. This is proven by Stefano’s birth record, Domenico’s death record and the census of 1900, when they were living in the same dwelling. Near them was also living a Pietro(Peter) Marietta

The two families were not directly related. Maddalena and Giuseppe on the one side and Stefano, Domenico and Pietro on the other had different grandparents. But they had certainly many ties. Giuseppe, Pietro and Stefano emigrated together in 1890 (this date is also consistent with the one that appears in Giuseppe’s passport request, and in the census for Domenico and Pietro)

Giovanni and Domenica had no other children in Coassolo after Stefano.

I believe this Jean Marietta is one of the Giovanni Marietta-Aleina's you've been researching. (I found this record while searching geneanet.org.) This Giovanni died in Beaurieres, Drome, Rhone-Alpes, France on Sept. 27, 1887. Wife Domenica Vietti. Son of Stefano (Etienne) Marietta-Aleina.
This great find is corroboration that Giovanni husband of Domenica died in 1887 in France.
Giovanni husband of Maria Banche (Maddalena’s grandfather) died in Coassolo Jan 22 1913
